Privacy Notice

Effective date: 28 August 2026

Who is responsible for your information

Belinda Warburton is a sole trader based in Essex, United Kingdom, and is responsible for deciding how the personal information covered by this notice is used. For privacy questions or requests, email belinda@belindawarburton.co.uk.

What this website does

The website provides information about Belinda’s talks, workshops and related resources, and gives people a way to contact her or request the free meditation.

The website does not use analytics, advertising, tracking or visitor-recording services.

Information collected and why

If you use the contact form, you may provide your name, email address, organisation or event details and the information in your enquiry. This information is used to respond to the enquiry and, where relevant, discuss and administer a booking. It is sent to Belinda’s business email.

The free-meditation form collects an email address to deliver one requested meditation email. That request is not used for ongoing marketing.

The lawful bases for these purposes are:

  • Responding to general enquiries: legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR) in responding to people who contact the business. If someone asks Belinda to take steps towards a contract, Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR is used instead where applicable.
  • Discussing and administering bookings: taking steps requested before entering into a contract and performing a contract (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR), where applicable.
  • Retaining financial records: compliance with a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) UK GDPR). Confirmed booking and financial records are retained for at least five years after the 31 January tax-return deadline, or longer where required by law.
  • Delivering the requested meditation: consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR) given when you submit the form to receive the one-off meditation email. You can withdraw consent, although withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.

How information is received

Information submitted through the contact form is used to respond to the enquiry and, where relevant, discuss or administer a booking. The submission is sent to Belinda’s business email so she can respond. Belinda does not use a separate CRM or website database for these enquiries.

Providers used by the website

Marblism and Vercel: provide the website platform, hosting and deployment and may process the technical information needed to operate and secure the site.

IONOS: provides Belinda’s business email service.

Systeme.io/ITACWT Limited: processes the email address submitted through the Free Meditation form and sends the one requested delivery email.

Google/YouTube: processes information when a visitor chooses to load or play the privacy-enhanced showreel.

These providers may process information internationally and use appropriate legal safeguards for those transfers. Their published privacy information is linked above.

How long information is kept

The current retention approach is:

  • General enquiries: up to 24 months after the last contact.
  • Confirmed booking and financial records: at least five years after the 31 January tax-return deadline, or longer where required by law.
  • One-off meditation request email addresses: no longer than 12 months. They are reviewed annually and deleted unless a legal reason requires longer retention.
  • People who unsubscribe or ask not to receive further messages: the minimum information needed to respect the request, if any such record exists.
  • Spam or irrelevant enquiries: deleted when identified.

Provider systems may retain information under their published policies, for the relevant purpose, legal obligations and service-protection needs.

Sharing, security and transfers

Information is not sold. It may be handled by the platform, hosting, email, form or video providers described above when they are needed to operate the relevant feature. Providers may process information internationally and use appropriate legal safeguards, as described in their linked published privacy information.

Belinda does not operate a separate CRM, visitor-history system or website database. The providers control their own system retention according to their published policies, the purpose of processing, legal obligations and the need to secure their services.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR, you may have the right to:

  • access your personal information;
  • have inaccurate information corrected;
  • ask for your information to be erased;
  • ask for processing to be restricted;
  • receive your information in a portable form, where applicable;
  • withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis.

Right to object: You may object to processing where it relies on legitimate interests.

These rights depend on the legal basis and circumstances of the processing and may be subject to legal exemptions. Contact Belinda at belinda@belindawarburton.co.uk to make a request.

You have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) through its official published contact routes.
